B. O. No 105 and Confidential

Dispatch of July 14th 1869.

In accordance with the intention expressed in my report dated 11th ultimo, the Crown Solicitor addressed a letter to the attorney of the Defendant Regina & Joint, a copy of which is forwarded herewith (annexure No 1.), and, at the opening of the Criminal Sessions on the 20th instant, made a statement to the Court conveying, as nearly as circumstances would admit of, the general tenor and import of the Report of the Law Officers of the Crown in this matter (dated June 4th, 1869). This statement was reduced into writing and a minute thereof placed on record by the Registrar of the Supreme Court.
